Mary Jung - My interest in drawing and painting combines my love of animals, particularly dogs and horses, their individual personalities, structure, and color. I have worked in a variety of media, including oil, watercolor, colored pencil, and my favorite - onglaze painting on porcelain tiles and plates. My paintings are in collections in the USA, Canada, England, Germany, France, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and the Netherlands, as well as in a number of magazines, books, and on book covers. I won 2 Dog Writers Association of America awards for illustration, a porcelain painting accepted into the Dog Museum of America, the BTCA Silverwood Art Competition four times, its Bar Sinister Award, and have recently been honored by the BTCA for lifetime membership. I am very grateful to have made so many friends through my artwork and association with dogs and their people, especially my wonderful Bull Terriers and their humans.
